 THE GOCO BOARD
 

Great Outdoors Colorado Board members are appointed by the Governor and subject to confirmation by the Colorado State Senate. The structure of the 17-member board is designed to provide representation to the entire state based on population.
 
  Two members from each of Colorado’s seven congressional districts serve.
  The executive director of the Colorado Department of Natural Resources and
  A representative from the Colorado Board of Parks and Outdoor Recreation and from
  The wildlife Commission are members.
  No two members from one congressional district can be from the same political party.
  One member of the Board must represent agricultural interests.
  Two members must live west of the Continental Divide.
