September 26, 2007 GOCO HELPS FUND UNIQUE CONSERVATION TRANSACTION IN SAN LUIS VALLEY |
| (San Luis Valley) -- The Colorado Cattlemen's Agricultural Land Trust (CCALT) and the Nature Conservancy of Colorado (TNC) announced today the permanent protection of an important 160-acre property near the town of Saguache in the northern San Luis Valley. The land, known as the Laughlin Gulch Property, is now under the management of a local ranch family and is permanently protected by a conservation easement held by CCALT. Funding for the conservation easement came from Great Outdoors Colorado and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. |

Collins) -- Colorado's first statewide inventory of open space has been released by the Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) Board and the Natural Resource Ecology Lab (NREL) at Colorado State University that conducted the study on behalf of Lottery-funded GOCO. The inventory provides consistent, current, and comprehensive information about the status and trends of open space lands in the state and detailed maps with a comprehensive set of attributes associated with each parcel. |

March 7, 2007 CSU researchers work with private landowners in Colorado on conservation efforts |
| (Ft. Collins) -- Researchers from Colorado State University's Colorado Natural Heritage Program, or CNHP, will be working with nearly 40 private landowners from southeastern Colorado to complete a biological inventory on ranchland in the region. A $200,000 Great Outdoors Colorado grant to the Colorado Cattlemen's Agricultural Land Trust, or CCALT, brings together this new partnership aimed at conservation. |

| (Gunnison) -- The Robbins family has granted a conservation easement on 487 acres of grazing land and wildlife habitat in the Steuben Creek Valley, about eight miles west of Gunnison. The protected acreage is adjacent to another 500 acres that the Robbins family protected in 2005. Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) granted $243,240 for the agricultural land preservation project. |

September 21, 2006 DIVISION OF WILDLIFE COMPLETES SIGNIFICANT LAND CONSERVATION PROJECTS IN MESA AND GUNNISON COUNTIES WITH HELP OF GOCO/LOTTERY FUNDS |
| (Denver) -- The Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) has closed three important conservation easement projects as part of the Colorado Species Conservation Partnership (CSCP). Lottery funds from Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) were used by DOW to help complete these projects totaling 3,985 acres. The DOW is in the process of ranking projects for the 2006 funding round and expects to complete additional conservation projects in the near future using GOCO funding, habitat stamp funds and federal grant money. |

Colorado State Parks provided another $238,500 in proceeds it receives directly from the Colorado Lottery. |

Located in the Laramie Foothills between Fort Collins and Laramie, Wyoming, the ranch is "one of the most beautiful places in the world," said Catherine Roberts, who, like her late husband's ancestors, loved this land and cared for it through generations. |

(Denver) -- The Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) Board has awarded its first grants of this fiscal year with $6 million lottery dollars being used to protect 7650 acres of open space, fund 24 community park and outdoor recreation projects and four planning efforts that will result in future projects.
The most significant project grant is $427,000 to Colorado Open Lands (COL) to assist with the preservation of 800 acres in the first land deal in the ambitious Peak-to-Prairie large landscape conservation effort. |

(Steamboat Springs) -- On Thursday, as The Nature Conservancy was completing the first of two important conservation easements in the Yampa Valley, it received word from the Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) Board that it had just been awarded another $750,000 in lottery funds to work toward completion of the second easement in this ecologically significant area.
The Conservancy worked closely with the landowner and partners to complete protection of 1280 acres of important ranchland and high quality wildlife habitat by placing a conservation easement on a portion of the Wolf Mountain Ranch. The easement protects a unique midchannel island, known as Elk Island, and a scenic sagebrush ridge across the Yampa River from the Conservancy's historic Carpenter Ranch. |

| These lands are located on the upstream end of the Morgan Bottoms reach of the Yampa River, where a total of 3100 acres of privately owned riverside lands have been conserved since 1985. |

(Denver) -- The Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) Board has awarded its final grants for Fiscal Year 2005. The $8.2 million awarded yesterday closes out a year that saw the Board award a record $97 million in lottery proceeds.
Yesterday's grants will help protect more than 7000 acres of open space, much of it agricultural land containing critical wildlife habitat and scenic viewsheds, but also urban parcels that will provide key connections to other public lands and trail systems. The grants will also help with outdoor recreation projects in 31 counties across the state. |

(Gunnison) - Bob (Harold) Robbins and his son, Bob, have decided to give up forever their right to subdivide and develop 500 acres of grazing land and wildlife habitat in the Steuben Creek Valley, about 8 miles west of Gunnison. The family has granted a conservation easement to Colorado Open Lands, a statewide land trust. Local grassroots organization, Gunnison Ranchland Conservation Legacy (GRCL), coordinated the easement project and secured grants and donations to fund the deal. The land is now restricted to allow only one home on the entire 500 acres.
Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO), funded by the Colorado Lottery, granted $299,343 for the agricultural land preservation project. The Gunnison County Land Preservation Fund, 1% for Open Space, and private donations provided the remaining cash. The Robbins Family donated $125,000 worth of easement value. |

(Telluride) - On January 7, 2005, the San Miguel Conservation Foundation (SMCF) closed on Phase 2 of a two-part conservation easement transaction with the Schmid Family Ranch, LLC. The closing comes more than five years after an option agreement to purchase a conservation easement on the 800-acre ranch for $1.6 million was negotiated with a partnership of local conservation organizations comprised of SMCF, the San Miguel County Open Space Commission and The Nature Conservancy.
The second phase of the Schmid transaction put 320 acres under conservation easement, adding to the 480 acres already protected in phase 1, and was funded in part with a $600,000 lottery grant from Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO). |

| The ranch is rich in history, having been homesteaded in the 1870s and at one time encompassing over 50 square miles. Numerous paleo-Indian sites and historical landmarks occur throughout the ranch. This and the ecological and economic importance of the working cattle ranch drew the interest of Legacy Land Trust, The Nature Conservancy, Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. |

(Fort Collins) - Today the Larimer County Open Lands Program and The Nature Conservancy acquired the Red Mountain Ranch, the centerpiece of the Laramie Foothills/Mountains to Plains Project. The 13,500 acres of the ranch that lie in Colorado were purchased with $7.8 million in lottery funds from Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) and $1.4 million from Larimer County's 1/4% Help Preserve Open Spaces sales tax fund. The Nature Conservancy purchased over 1,500 acres that lie in Wyoming.
"Purchase of the Red Mountain Ranch was urgent and key to the entire vision of this ambitious effort to protect a total of 55,400 acres," said John Swartout, GOCO executive director. "This project is a great example of the landscape scale protection the GOCO Board intended with its recent Legacy grants." The $7.8 million is part of an $11.6 million Legacy grant the GOCO Board awarded to the project on December 1. |

(DENVER) - With the help of $420,000 in GOCO lottery grants, 1150 acres on two ranches in the South Park Basin have been preserved as part of the South Park Basin Legacy Project sponsored by Park County.
The deals were negotiated by Colorado Open Lands (COL). The two properties, which provide food, shelter, breeding ground, and migration corridors for several wildlife species, are the Lazy River Ranch and the Santa Maria Ranch. |

(Fort Collins) - The U.S. Forest Service, in partnership with The Conservation Fund and Colorado State Parks, announced today the protection of Spruce Mountain, the last strategic parcel associated with the historic I-25 Conservation Corridor Project - a multi-million dollar initiative to preserve critical forest lands, wildlife habitat, working ranches and scenic vistas between Denver and Colorado Springs.
Utilizing a $1.8 million grant from the federal Forest Legacy Program, a conservation easement was purchased on the 321-acre Spruce Mountain property. The easement will be held by Colorado State Parks. In a separate transaction, Spruce Mountain was sold by the Fund to Douglas County Open Space, with a generous grant from Great Outdoors Colorado. |

(DENVER) - The Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) has collaborated with an international construction materials company, Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO), and the Yampa River Legacy Project to protect prime riparian habitat in one of western Colorado's fastest-growing communities.
The land is located at the site of a tapped out Lafarge North America gravel mine and concrete pit. Lafarge was considering options for the Routt County property, and both the City of Steamboat Springs and the DOW were among the entities interested in acquiring it from the company. |

(DENVER) - Governor Bill Owens today joined with members of the Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) Board in announcing an unprecedented investment of $60 million in state lottery proceeds. $48 million of that total will help preserve 80,000 acres including dramatic landscapes in Northern Colorado's Laramie Foothills, Jefferson County's Front Range Mountain Backdrop, and southwest Colorado's San Juan Skyway. The remaining $12 million will advance work on two new State Parks, trails, and regional outdoor recreation areas.
"With broad support from communities across the state, large expanses of open space that define the rich beauty of Colorado will now be preserved. (BOULDER) - With the satisfaction that comes with adding the final piece to a puzzle, Larimer County joined with The Conservation Fund, Hewlett-Packard Company and the Municipal Subdistrict of the Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District to celebrate the culmination of a six-year effort to protect the Blue Mountain Conservation Area.
Together with other local conservation groups, the partners worked to acquire more than 1,800 acres of important open space in the foothills of Colorado's Front Range. Known as the Chimney Hollow tract, this parcel was the final piece needed to connect more than 9,000 acres of protected public and private lands for wildlife habitat and public recreation areas. |

(DENVER) - Using a grant from Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO), a group of ranchers and fly-fisherman, the South Park Fly Fishers, have teamed up to offer premium fly-fishing opportunities to the public on six private ranches in South Park.
For a reasonable daily-use fee, anglers now have access to some of the highest quality trout stream corridor in the state. Most of the sites available have never been opened to public use and are now available for daily reservation. Because of the secluded nature of these areas, and the limited public access (only two anglers per day are admitted on any property), the fishing so far has garnered glowing reviews. |

(FORT COLLINS) - Over 4,500 acres of the best remaining Front Range wildlife habitat, located west of Fort Collins, has been protected by a conservation easement granted to The Nature Conservancy by long-time rancher Catherine Roberts.
Under terms of the easement, which resulted from a strong partnership that brought together the resources and expertise of the City of Fort Collins, Larimer County, Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) and the Conservancy, 4,557 acres of the historic 16,000-acre Roberts Ranch will be protected from subdivision and residential development. The property will remain a working cattle ranch. |

| (EAGLE) - In one of the most important and forward-looking conservation projects in Colorado history, a broad-based coalition announced today the permanent protection of 4,830 acres of working ranchland and open space located along Interstate 70, near the eastern entrance of Glenwood Canyon. This coalition includes Eagle County, the Bureau of Land Management, the Great Outdoors Colorado Trust Fund, Eagle Valley Land Trust and The Conservation Fund. The majority of the property, known as the Bair Ranch, will remain a working ranch, protected through a conservation easement, with approximately 500 acres acquired outright to expand public recreation along the Colorado River. |
