REI's Opt Outside campaign inspired Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW), GOCO, and the Colorado Outdoor Recreation Industry Office to help get people step away from Black Friday madness and spend some time outdoors. GOCO picked up the tab at all 42 state parks in Colorado, making access free for anyone that wanted to get outdoors on November 27. The result? Hundreds of you tweeted, commented, and posted your excitement about Fresh Air Friday, and we compiled your best pictures that captured your day outside. Thank you to everyone who bundled up and participated in a very cold, but very fun Fresh Air Friday!

Clockwise from upper left: Wilson & Company tweeted us this frosty picture from Black Friday, Daniel Amerman spotted some wildlife during a group snowshoe trip to Cheyenne Mountain State Park, Diane Alexander took this picture at Quail Lake in Colorado Springs, Katie Meis got creative and gave REI a shout-out and was joined by a four-legged friend on the trail, and Environmental Learning for Kids (ELK) broke out the snowshoes on Friday too.

Clockwise from upper left: Kylie Soliday and her boxer Joule braved the single digit temps in the Indian Peaks Wilderness, Billy Griffin enjoyed a sunny afternoon at Barr Lake State Park, Chris Naccarato had a successful day at Lake Pueblo State Park, Instagram user @switchbax captured this gorgeous shot in Colorado Springs, Raelene Manuelito hung out at Horsetooth Reservoir, and Julia Griff went for a trail run on North Table Mountain.

Editor's Note: Quail Lake has not received any GOCO funding although it would be eligible as a city park in Colorado Springs. All other locations mentioned have been recipients of GOCO funding, including parts of the Indian Peaks Wilderness.
