Jackie Miller
Jackie Miller has spent 20 years at Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO), leading initiatives that bring people together around shared values to connect Coloradans with the outdoors and protect the state’s most treasured landscapes. She launched Generation Wild—a statewide movement that has inspired tens of thousands of youth and families to build lasting relationships with nature—and co-led the creation of Colorado’s Outdoors Strategy, the state’s first unified vision for climate-resilient conservation, exceptional and sustainable outdoor recreation, and coordinated planning and funding.
As GOCO’s executive director, Jackie leads with empathy and purpose, building and mobilizing networks that turn collaborative priorities into lasting impact. Within the organization, she fosters a culture where teams feel valued, supported, and empowered to do their most meaningful work advancing outdoor efforts across all 64 counties.
She earned her bachelor’s degree from Saint Michael’s College in Vermont, completed a fellowship at the Harvard Kennedy School of Executive Education in 2016, and was recognized by the Denver Business Journal as a 2019 “40 Under 40” honoree.
Every day, Jackie feels immense gratitude for the honor of guiding this unique-in-the-nation resource for conservation and recreation toward wise investments in Colorado’s people and communities, lands and wildlife.
