Lauren moved to Colorado in 2022 to complete her master’s degree at CU Boulder in environmental policy and outdoor recreation. She is currently in her final semester during which she is serving as the communications intern at GOCO. Prior to getting her master’s, Lauren obtained her bachelor’s degree in environmental sociology at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee where she focused her research on wildfire policy and climate resilience in outdoor recreation.

Prior to joining GOCO, Lauren worked with the Government, and Public Service sector of Deloitte Consulting as a student consultant focusing on equity and environmental justice. She has also wandered outside to work as a program leader for an elementary school nature program and as a ski instructor at Eldora in Nederland.

In her free time, Lauren enjoys playing the guitar and bluegrass mandolin, climbing and skiing and working on her podcast.
