If you’re thinking about applying to one of our grant programs, it’s never too soon to contact GOCO staff to discuss your project, the grant program it aligns with, and whether it will compete well. It’s a good idea to thoroughly review our program values, program pages within the program portfolio, and the entire application prior to starting it. You will need to submit your application through the grant portal, so leave plenty of time for submission.

Land Conservation

GOCO’s land conservation grant application requires applicants to submit documentation of the property’s stewardship costs and endowment amount. For assistance in calculating these figures for your conservation easement, you are welcome but not required to use the following tools available from Colorado Open Lands (COL), Colorado Cattlemen’s Agricultural Land Trust (CCALT), and The Nature Conservancy (TNC):
